Import wallet.dat into a new Bitcoin-Qt client - Bitcoin

How do you import a Bitcoin Core (QT)-made wallet.dat file into another wallet?

So I have a wallet.dat made a while ago and wanted to check what was in it, problem is it was made in the bitcoin core QT client, which I can't even load up because it occasionally freezes and usually won't even sync up, at an absurdly slow rate.
When I replace that wallet file into the default data directory, and start bitcoin-qt.exe with the -rescan command, it just starts but no addresses show up in my wallet file and i noticed the wallet.dat file size changes when the bitcoin core client starts up, seemingly modifying something to make it slightly bigger, don't know why.
How do I check this wallet.dat? I tried importing it into the latest electrum 3.2.3 wallet and it won't accept it.

How to get the wallet.dat file and import it into the Bitcoin QT Client

Go to MonteCrypto Game, click properties, then go to local files. Follow this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MonteCrypto\CryptoChallenge\Content\CryptoChallenge\Datamaps
I can confirm the wallet.dat file IS the one with the bitcoin. I imported it to my bitcoin qt client and the public key matches. Now I already found 4/24 so I'm feeling good, but I know for a fact you need all 24 words. Brute forcing with just 23 would take decades.

How can I import multiple wallet.dat files into Bitcoin-Qt

Hi everyone.
I'm just getting back into Bitcoin seriously again and I have what is probably a stupid question.
I have a bunch of wallet.dat backups rather than private keys. I'm wondering how I can import/merge them into Bitcoin-Qt?

Bitcoin Qt -wallet problem and wallet.dat and blocks folder import..

I know I can find some talking about all this questions I am asking, but Im so scare to loose my coins I would like to have a instructions how-to-do-it to be sure..
Damn, the worst happened.. My laptop got so stuck I had to sweep it.. I did backup my bitcoin folder in c: driver (i dont if I need it?) and also I think I did backup my wallet just few days ago which is in time to my usb..
So first question: I have win 7. Pretty clean install. I can install bitcoin Qt, np but when I try to start it windows give a warning that "unexpected promblem appeared, shutting down the program". Everytime! Windows do not give any specific number or anything, or not even advice how to repair it. Just unknown problem and closing. Everytime. I did try to do like three times a new clean install.. (downloaded from web)
I think firewall and win defender is okeyh with it. (allowing).. I have avast antivirus..? Can it be the problem? I did have same wallet, same Os and same antivirus last time when this laptop worked and everything worked smoothly.. Not even one problem..
Also, the other question. If I have backup of my last blocks folder (14gb) can I use it? If yes, please tell me how. ELI5! :)
Main question: If I get this bitcoin-qt running, will the walled.dat import be as easy as I think. Just take my old copy and choose import wallet? So is there anything I should think before doing? This is my first time I need to use backup.
Cheers guys! I hope I will get stuff working soon and can again have some new coins!

Why isn't there a Wallet.dat or private key import feature in bitcoin-qt?

This is what I am asking myself for two years now and I finally decided to ask. In addition to that: why not a paper wallet print and import feature (maybe webcam support)?
I now that there is a ton of other potential features and the development takes time and so on. But these here appear to be extremely essential since using bitcoin is in fact very risky without these simple precautions.
You want unskilled users to search for a folder that is not even visible on a fresh system? The people who cant find this folder are the ones who also make other mistakes and the ones who get their bitcoins stolen.

Was using bitcoin-qt on OSX, blockchain got corrupted and now it is impossibly big to re-download, what thin clients can I import my wallet.dat into?? OSX 10.7.5. I already tried electrum and looks like I'd have to build it from github, can't figure it out. please help.

Send help! is there a safe way I could download a torrent of the blockchain? i tried to reindex the blockchain (after my harddrive got unplugged while bitcoin-qt was running) and it looks like it would literally take a week of spinning my poor laptop fan balls out.
edit: wallet.dat is encrypted and safely backed up.

Importing Wallet.dat into Qt 4.8.3 Bitcoin v0.8.5-beta?

Any old timers here - is it as simple as replacing the default wallet.dat with the one you've got, and loading up the software? I've got a bunch of old wallet.dat files I wanted to look at again and I saved the version of QT from back in the day.
I seem to remember having to run an import command on the debug screen if the dat file was encrypted with a passphrase. Am I remembering correctly? If so do you know the command?
Imprt privky or something like that. Maybe that was only for importing paper wallets into QT .....

When importing a wallet.dat file from an encrypted Bitcoin-QT to blockchain, does the password of bitcoin-qt become the password on the blockchain wallet?

What I'm trying to do is move my coins from bitcoin-qt to my Electrum wallet because the block database got corrupted and I'm tired of having to always rebuild it when this happens.
I'm quite nervous about moving my coins around like this without knowing exactly what I'm getting into. Is there a better way of doing this?

Old Mining Contract - Reddit Sleuths Needed

Dear Famed Reddit Users,
I apologise in advance if I waste anybody's time here however I need suggestions on whether I can establish if I received a payment from a mining contract I took out in 2013.
Back in July 2013 I bough a Bitcoin mining contract from a website called bitcoinfrenzy.com. I paid $49 for "1 GH/s Bitcoin Mining Power – 1 Year Contract (#1GH001) "
This website no longer exists and it may have been a scam as I was quite flush back then so I bought the contract and thought no more of it.
After the initial purchase email in July 2013 I heard no more until November 2013.
13 November 2013 - Newsletter email stating: "After a long struggle Mining is started for July to till date customers . The order status for all paid orders will be updated within 48 Hours . And we will update"
16 November 2013 I have an email stating that the order had been processed
22 November 2013 Email stating that payouts have been made from wallet address 1LKpQYvMCyfa5AwD8KrDknhjGfP87xWsVN
No further emails after this point.
When I check the blockchain for this address I can see coins were sent to multiple addresses on 22 November 2013.
I do not know what wallet address I provided to bitcoinfrenzy for receipt of any payout.
I did create a wallet on blockchain in May 2013. I have accessed this wallet and there is no transaction history showing.
I have an old version of bitcoin-qt on an old hard disk drive which has a wallet.dat file created April 2013. I have been unsuccessful when trying to load this wallet.
I have all hard drives/laptops from 2013 and since.
Views on: Am I wasting my time here? I s there anything else I can search my hard drives for? How can I access my old wallet.dat (and none of the results I've found while searching have worked).
NB if one of the receiving addresses from the payout belongs to me the coins will be unspent, there will be no transactions after 22 November 2013 and there may not be any other transactions prior to this.
Thanks for reading

weird behavior of electrum+bitcoin-qt

past week installed the new plugin that allow me to connect my electrum wallet to bitcoin-core, i use a hardware wallet and worked like a charm.
Then today was updating the node and used bitcoin-qt instead of bitcoind and when was waiting suddendly i see some text in the gui where it says "recent transactions", and a lot of transactions where there.
Then was like WTF happened here, someone stole my btc?, or installed a compromised version of electrum(i use archlinux and install from the repos). Why some transactions where there, i neved imported my wallet to bitcoin-gui.
Inmediately deleted the wallet.dat and did the same in electrum, but my question is:
Was something imported into bitcoin-qt?, all my history was redeable from the gui, i never imported into bitcoin-qt, and as far i know the seed never leave the hardware wallet.
This is normal?, at least all my funds are still there but im really worried.
PS: everything happened with my hardwallet unplugged.
TL:DR: Connected my cold wallet to electrum(connected to bitcoind) past week, never to bitcoin-qt, today opened bitcoin-qt and all my history of transactions from my cold wallet(unplugged) was there(bitcoin-qt), is this normal?.

Groestlcoin 6th Anniversary Release

Introduction

Dear Groestlers, it goes without saying that 2020 has been a difficult time for millions of people worldwide. The groestlcoin team would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone our best to everyone coping with the direct and indirect effects of COVID-19. Let it bring out the best in us all and show that collectively, we can conquer anything.
The centralised banks and our national governments are facing unprecedented times with interest rates worldwide dropping to record lows in places. Rest assured that this can only strengthen the fundamentals of all decentralised cryptocurrencies and the vision that was seeded with Satoshi's Bitcoin whitepaper over 10 years ago. Despite everything that has been thrown at us this year, the show must go on and the team will still progress and advance to continue the momentum that we have developed over the past 6 years.
In addition to this, we'd like to remind you all that this is Groestlcoin's 6th Birthday release! In terms of price there have been some crazy highs and lows over the years (with highs of around $2.60 and lows of $0.000077!), but in terms of value– Groestlcoin just keeps getting more valuable! In these uncertain times, one thing remains clear – Groestlcoin will keep going and keep innovating regardless. On with what has been worked on and completed over the past few months.

ALL NEW - Groestlcoin Moonshine iOS/Android Wallet

Built with React Native, Moonshine utilizes Electrum-GRS's JSON-RPC methods to interact with the Groestlcoin network.
GRS Moonshine's intended use is as a hot wallet. Meaning, your keys are only as safe as the device you install this wallet on. As with any hot wallet, please ensure that you keep only a small, responsible amount of Groestlcoin on it at any given time.

ALL NEW! – HODL GRS Android Wallet

HODL GRS connects directly to the Groestlcoin network using SPV mode and doesn't rely on servers that can be hacked or disabled.
HODL GRS utilizes AES hardware encryption, app sandboxing, and the latest security features to protect users from malware, browser security holes, and even physical theft. Private keys are stored only in the secure enclave of the user's phone, inaccessible to anyone other than the user.
Simplicity and ease-of-use is the core design principle of HODL GRS. A simple recovery phrase (which we call a Backup Recovery Key) is all that is needed to restore the user's wallet if they ever lose or replace their device. HODL GRS is deterministic, which means the user's balance and transaction history can be recovered just from the backup recovery key.

ALL NEW! – GroestlcoinSeed Savior

Groestlcoin Seed Savior is a tool for recovering BIP39 seed phrases.
This tool is meant to help users with recovering a slightly incorrect Groestlcoin mnemonic phrase (AKA backup or seed). You can enter an existing BIP39 mnemonic and get derived addresses in various formats.
To find out if one of the suggested addresses is the right one, you can click on the suggested address to check the address' transaction history on a block explorer.

ALL NEW! – Vanity Search Vanity Address Generator

NOTE: NVidia GPU or any CPU only. AMD graphics cards will not work with this address generator.
VanitySearch is a command-line Segwit-capable vanity Groestlcoin address generator. Add unique flair when you tell people to send Groestlcoin. Alternatively, VanitySearch can be used to generate random addresses offline.
If you're tired of the random, cryptic addresses generated by regular groestlcoin clients, then VanitySearch is the right choice for you to create a more personalized address.
VanitySearch is a groestlcoin address prefix finder. If you want to generate safe private keys, use the -s option to enter your passphrase which will be used for generating a base key as for BIP38 standard (VanitySearch.exe -s "My PassPhrase" FXPref). You can also use VanitySearch.exe -ps "My PassPhrase" which will add a crypto secure seed to your passphrase.
VanitySearch may not compute a good grid size for your GPU, so try different values using -g option in order to get the best performances. If you want to use GPUs and CPUs together, you may have best performances by keeping one CPU core for handling GPU(s)/CPU exchanges (use -t option to set the number of CPU threads).

ALL NEW! – Electrum Personal Server

Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server aims to make using Electrum Groestlcoin wallet more secure and more private. It makes it easy to connect your Electrum-GRS wallet to your own full node.
It is an implementation of the Electrum-grs server protocol which fulfils the specific need of using the Electrum-grs wallet backed by a full node, but without the heavyweight server backend, for a single user. It allows the user to benefit from all Groestlcoin Core's resource-saving features like pruning, blocks only and disabled txindex. All Electrum-GRS's feature-richness like hardware wallet integration, multi-signature wallets, offline signing, seed recovery phrases, coin control and so on can still be used, but connected only to the user's own full node.
Full node wallets are important in Groestlcoin because they are a big part of what makes the system be trust-less. No longer do people have to trust a financial institution like a bank or PayPal, they can run software on their own computers. If Groestlcoin is digital gold, then a full node wallet is your own personal goldsmith who checks for you that received payments are genuine.
Full node wallets are also important for privacy. Using Electrum-GRS under default configuration requires it to send (hashes of) all your Groestlcoin addresses to some server. That server can then easily spy on your transactions. Full node wallets like Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server would download the entire blockchain and scan it for the user's own addresses, and therefore don't reveal to anyone else which Groestlcoin addresses they are interested in.
Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server can also broadcast transactions through Tor which improves privacy by resisting traffic analysis for broadcasted transactions which can link the IP address of the user to the transaction. If enabled this would happen transparently whenever the user simply clicks "Send" on a transaction in Electrum-grs wallet.
Note: Currently Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server can only accept one connection at a time.

Helping to restore Bitcoin Wallet, wallet.dat recovery Pinkcoin - How to transfer your wallet.dat (Windows) Install, Backup And Restore A Bitcoin Wallet. Or, Almost Any CryptoCoin Wallet (Windows) How to recover your wallet using .dat file paste wallet.dat file back

I am fairly new to Bitcoin, but one year ago, I made a Bitcoin address on Bitcoin-Qt, but I stopped using it, because the whole database downloading took so much space on my disk. I have my wallet.dat file, but I don't know, where can I use it. I tried Electrum, but it seems that the wallet.dat import doesn't work there. If you are using Cold storage, a Paper wallet or generating vanity addresses you may have a need to import a Private key. Since Bitcoin-QT/bitcoind v0.6.0, you can import private keys using built-in RPC command importprivkey. Before v0.6.0, you needed to rely on third-party wallet.dat manipulation tool such as Pywallet. Bitcoin-Qt version 0.7.0 is now available for download at: Replace BDB database “addr.dat” with internally-managed “peers.dat” file containing peer address data. Add 2 labels to the overviewpage that display Wallet and Transaction status (obsolete or current) Extend the optionsdialog (e.g. language selection) and re-work it to a File extension dat is also associated with the Bitcoin P2P payment service used to operate with no central authority or banks, managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network.. This specific wallet.dat file stores transaction data and all other related information (keys, metadata, options) about your Bitcoin activity. From the Home screen, tap "Create new wallet" or (if you already have a wallet and want to import a new one) tap the "+" symbol. Select Import wallet. Choose the File/Text tab at the top.
