Discussion about Bitcoin. BitcoinSV restores the original Bitcoin protocol, will keep it stable, and allow it to massively scale on-chain. BSV will maintain the vision laid out by Satoshi Nakamoto in the 2008 white paper - Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.
Hi I need around 100 testnet bitcoins. And I need them very badly. Can someone guide me where can I get them? Or where can I buy them? Or maybe how can I use rented hash power (e.g. from nicehash) to mine them? I'm ok with spending ~100$-200$ for that I can't find any testnet mining pools, I can't find any developers faucet (where can I get more than 0.1 per day), I can't find any place where I can simply buy it. I'd really appreciate any kind of help. Cheers
We should learn from the mistakes of Litecoin: LTC is marketing itself with two use cases: 1) The silver of something something, 2) Testnet for BTC. That's not enough to be a top 10 coin anymore. Luckily, Bitcoin Cash is more than that!
How do I mine on F2Pool? (or how do I get some doge?)
Tl;DR: can't find the address to mine dogecoin on F2pool. I've been playing a bit with bitcoin testnet coins to understand how they work, how HD wallets are created, how to do offline storage, what are mnemonic passwords, etc. Tried various things, like generating offline the 8th address for a passphrase, then sending testcoins to that from a different account while signing offline, then generating new addresses in the wallet software until I reached the 8th address and saw the testcoins. I think I'm ready to play with real coins. Decided to go with doge, since it seems fun and the huge amount of them on the market is validating. Step a) decided buying on an exchange. tried purchasing BTC/ETH (to trade for doge) on bitstamp, validation is still pending for three days (and the fees are insane). Tried anycoindirect, intermediate processors never worked (giropay stopped on pending verifications, the other payment processors required me to do a SEPA transfer), then it started showing "page not found" every other click, had to refresh, then it went into maintenance. Tried buying various coins on changelly, three times, all times they were cancelled because of fluctuations. Step b) I considered buying on one of those payment machines. There are various smartkiosks in my country where you can pay bills and services, and among that, purchase ETH and BTC, with a huge markup. Tried BTC, two days ago, still have 0 confirmations. The blockchain shows they didn't pay any fees at all and the transactions are stuck. Step c) I considered playing the faucets, got an account on faceuthub, spent almost two hours and 50% of the phone battery for less than 2 DOGE. Seems they were doing mining on the background, too. And you can't really cash out until you reach 10 DOGE. Step d) I decided mining. I have mined for hush, zcash and eth before. I've done it from my pc computers spun up amazon aws instances to do the work. F2Pool seems to have the largest amount of mined blocks, signed up, most cryptocoins have addreses where you can mine... except doge. Step e) Tried mycellium local exchange. Nobody answered. I don't care about gains, I don't care about getting rich, I just want to trade doge around a bit with friends and see how it 'really' works. All my experiences have been incredibly frustrating, and I'm a tech person. I want DOGE. How do I get DOGE?
Folks, while our core devs figure out any issues with the Testnet implementation of AuxPoW, the Dogecoin Testnet services at Block.io+SoChain will be iffy at best. For now, to test your applications, use the Litecoin Testnet. We're looking for Bitcoin Testnet coin donations (faucet is currently dry): mfhG4UDt1ZXzEGpsDvWrFkZep7gKtUEVfZ

So there's a coin that has more solo miners than all the Bitcoins, Litecoin and Ethereum put together? And it scales to MILLIONS of mining modes using Wolfram research? #3 total node count behind BTC and ETH and in testnet? Stephen Wolfram and DIffie are advisers... You're joking right?
