CakeMiner™ - bitcoin mining

We’re picking our winner, no need to comment! Just sit back and enjoy the ride! [Draw #52]

Brace yourselves.

TL;DR - This post is for the sole purpose of choosing a winner. If you commented in the [Drawing Thread], you are entered in the drawing and don't need to do anything else. By 16:00 UTC, the winner will be selected. The Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain will be used to pick this winner. This can be verified at any device running Python 3.5, and you do not need to own Bitcoin in order to participate.
Additionally, all information to replicate the Drawing at home is available on Dropbox and GitHub, scroll down for more information.
Importantly, this post WILL NOT BE EDITED in order to keep the integrity of the Drawing. To verify this, there will not be an asterisk during the time passed since its creation. The winner will be announced in a stickied comment.
DISCLAIMER: Some of the information may be unrevised, but procedures are the same as prior draws. Thank you.
Survey Results:
The results are in! PayPal is one of the most important services of payment, so feedback here was critical.
With that being said, we will continue to offer our alternatives, including cryptocurrencies and other payment services. Thank you for your time!

Off Topic:
The [Discussion] Thread at /millionairemakersmeta is open. All comments are welcome there for any inquiries. (Currently, the discussion thread is also being used for #52. I will look to make a seasonal thread.)
[Discussion #51]: https://www.reddit.com/millionairemakersmeta/comments/f8g5fo/_/
Explanation!
The Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain will be used to choose a winner. Once the time listed has passed, there will be an active check to determine the blockchain's winning hash. Like before, this subreddit will wait for the 3rd Block after the time (being 16:00 UTC) to select the winner.
If a block is discovered by 15:59 UTC, it will not be counted towards the counter of three blocks. If it's discovered by 16:00:00 UTC, then it will, simple. This can be checked by seeing the timestamp given to it by blockchain explorers.
You are able to see how this subreddit will verify the winner by checking the Dropbox folder, which also includes a back-up plan in case of an emergency.
Standard Protocol:
This post will not be edited! This is to prevent tampering of the hash or files by any of the moderators. To prove this, look for the lack of an asterisk near the time since creation.
To verify if a hash for a file is that of Draw #52, upload the file of choice to a SHA-256 generator, and match it with its respective hash output. The result you receive should be the same as what is listed here.
If you are interested in doing this for yourself, download Python 3.5 and follow the path to the folder labeled: MM52
Status Reports:
I will be commenting on the progress of the drawing via the comments, so other users can keep track of the progress. These comments will be pinned at the top of the post and be distinguished. Most likely, after 1:00 PM ET, the pinned comment will be announcing the winner.
If you can run Python yourself and follow the instructions, you will be able to find the winner. Make sure the hash released from the blockchain and the total number of participants match with what is described below. In addition, thank you for your patience.

So Warren Buffet says Bitcoin is BS?

In 2012, Buffet wrote “whether the currency a century from now is based on gold, seashells, shark teeth, or a piece of paper (as today), people will be willing to exchange a couple of minutes of their daily labor for a Coca-Cola or some See's peanut brittle.”

Bitcoin Cash to Be Valued at $12,000,000 Each

Enjoy =)
Larry Page = $41 billion
Bill Gates = $86 billion
All Cryptocurrency's = $200 billion
Amazon = $402 billion
Apple = $730 billion
USD in circulation = $1,500 billion
Gold Market Cap = $8,200 billion
Physical Money (notes/coins) = $31,200 billion
Stock Markets = $66,800 billion
All U.S. Money (bank deposits/loans) = $83,000 billion
But why doesn't EVERYBODY just convert ALL of the world's money of the ENTIRE PLANET to paying each other in gold? Gold is a great 'store of value', isn't it? Yes, it sure has value, but because it is inconvenient, hard to transport, slow, not divisible (without a third party), and difficult to keep from being robbed (without a third party), that is why the entire planet does not transact in gold, and hence why Gold's market capitalization is only $8,200 billion.
The only way this is possible, is if gold was more convenient to transact with than everything else, especially VISA. Which is impossible. You can't pay for a $100.37 item on Amazon.com, through the internet, without a third party, in a split second, by using gold.
Bitcoin (whitepaper version), can do 1,000,000 transactions per second CHEAPER than VISA. (It can probably do even more in the future), it's also at the same time a tangible currency (that takes trillions of video cards to create one single uncounterfeitable coin) aka "store of value".
So, for example's sake, let's add up all of the money (listed above), and "flood" the entire planet into using a currency ("store of value"), that is ALSO a payment system in itself BY DESIGN, able to send money to the other side of the planet, instantly, without needing to use ANY kind of outside third party, because the coin ITSELF is the third party IF it is the Whitepaper Version of Bitcoin. But if the witness data (aka transaction signatures) are segregated from the chain, then the coin (economy itself) is no longer ITS' OWN "third party" anymore, but prone to whoever wants to take advantage of the segregated witness data (whether its blockstream, bitcoin core, AXA, miners, or banks, doesn't matter). Because when the chain of digital signatures is no longer part of the blockchain, the incentive to take advantage of the system and introduce a traditional (bankegovernment) "third party" is now profitable/possible to do so. Whereas, originally, without SegWit, anybody who tried to do this would infinitely lose money in trying to do so---aka mining coins was more profitable than trying to do a 51% attack. Hence, with SegWit, we introduce a loop-hole into Bitcoin, allowing double spending of anyone's transactions, reversing anyone's transactions, halting anyone's transactions, freezing anyone's transactions, charge-backs, etc.
Now introduce $191,659 billion (see above) of the world's money to a ONE WORLD CURRENCY, that DOES NOT REQUIRE A THIRD PARTY.
17,912 x $650 current value of Bitcoin (whitepaper version) = $11,642,800 , for one coin.
90% of people who buy Bitcoin don't even know what is "Segwit" or "Blockstream" or "Satoshi" or "Whitepaper". They think it's the 'norm' that it takes hours upon hours (or even days) to get their Bitcoin. They assume that because it's "hard to get", then that is why it is valuable. Upon all of the other reasons. It's all media. It is exactly what BitConnect is doing. The only reason people are buying it, is because everyone is gambling, but are fully convinced that it is "investing". This is why Bitcoin is not going to lose its' value instantly. Nor is it going to skyrocket to an astronomical value like $100,000 instantly. But it will most definitely NOT be used as replacement currency by Walmart, Amazon, Sams Club, Coca Cola, Target, etc, and so on, it goes on FOREVER. All of these companies use VISA.
But what about other coins that already exist with little to no fees, instant transactions and end up having little to no traction and don't look like anyone cares about them??
For example.
These are the top ones I felt like choosing. I can explain every coin on the list. But the entire point, is that for EVERY one of these coins, Bitcoin Cash does it better. Bitcoin Cash has 0-conf (Bitcoin used to have it until the system could not accept anymore transactions and started backlogging transactions---aka full blocks). Bitcoin Cash has scripting functions (aka smart contracts). Bitcoin used to have it when the transaction fees only cost 1-5 cents per block... But no one wants to use the scripting functions anymore when you have to pay $5-$100 for each block.
There is a reason why Satoshi did not design Bitcoin (whitepaper version) like any of the other coins. It is because he already thought about those other designs.
Bitcoin legacy forfeited it's security model (whitepaper version) as soon as it changed protocol to SegWit.

BillionexPro Cloud Mining Review.

BillionexPro was founded in 2016. It currently owns mining farms located in Europe, America and Russia but exact locations are not known to the general public due to security reasons.
BillionexPro is the most transparent cloud mining company and not a scam. Hashing24 and BillionexPro Cloud Mining are the only two cloud mining companies we are even willing to write about. It is arguably the largest and most popular cloud mining provider for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other coins. It has even registered with the SEC for a Bitcoin mining fund. Note that this does not mean BillionexPro Cloud Mining is profitable, but means that BillionexPro Cloud Mining honestly provides the services it offers. It is important to note that these mining contracts are life time contracts, meaning they do not have a maturity date and as long as the contract is profitable you will continue to mine and receive payouts. How Does BillionexPro Cloud Mining Work? BillionexPro Cloud Mining, according to their website, is an easy and safe way to purchase hash power without having to deal with the complex hardware and software set up. BillionexPro Cloud Mining specializes in building the most efficient and reliable mining rigs that they offer to their clients for rent. All you need to do is set up an account with them to start mining. After signing up, fund your account via Bitcoin, PayPal and then choose the mining plan that’s best for you. What Coins Can You Mine Through BillionexPro? BillionexPro Cloud Mining makes it possible for you to earn different coins but it is dependent on which contract you buy. Let us now look at different contracts and the different coins you can mine as of June 2018. For our packages you can mine the following coins: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash and other Cryptocurrency through our platform. For SHA-256 contracts you can mine the following coins: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash and some other currencies also. BillionexPro Cloud Mining Profitability Of course it makes no sense buying contracts from BillionexPro Cloud Mining if it’s not profitable. With that in mind let us analyse the profitability of the different contracts I mentioned under the packages. Please note: The factors that make a contract profitable or not are constantly changing. Each coin’s price, network difficulty, and hash rate change every day. Read our article on mining profitability to learn more. It is also important to keep in mind that for lifetime contracts as long as they are profitable, a small maintenance fee is deducted. How is Genesis Mining Different from Other Cloud Mining Providers? As mentioned earlier, BillionexPro Cloud Mining is the largest and most popular cloud mining provider. BillionexPro Cloud Mining has made mining an easy and pleasant experience. For any miner, a significant investment in mining hardware is required. If you cloud mine with BillionexPro Cloud Mining you will not have to go through the hassles of setting up hardware or maintenance of mining rigs. With BillionexPro Cloud Mining remember you are mining online therefore you will not have to deal with loud rigs which produce a lot of heat. There are also no mining pool fees. One factor that really stands out is the fact that you can decide which coins you want to mine with the purchased hashpower. This makes it possible for you to split up your total hashpower to different coins. It is clear that BillionexPro Cloud Mining aims to provide both the average miner and the big investor. BillionexPro Cloud Mining currently has more than 30,000 members. There have been serious concerns of whether BillionexPro Cloud Mining is legit or a scam but after doing research it is quite clear that it is not a scam; that does not mean BillionexPro Cloud Mining is profitable, but means that BillionexPro Cloud Mining honestly provides the services it offers. BillionexPro Cloud Mining is great for cloud miners who want to mine without having to go through the stress of choosing a bitcoin mining pool, hardware, software or setting up a rig at home. Sign up to BillionexPro Cloud Mining and enjoy all its features and check out a picture of one of BillionexPro Cloud Mining’s farms in America!

4A Coin Whitepaper

4A Coin: A web-based cryptocurrency network. Summary~ Because the first generation cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin distribute the money issuing task according to the power of machines such as GPU and CPU, they accumulate the payments in the mempool and they mine by changing the nonce number randomly or by continuously increasing it and trying repeatedly until they find a hash summary that matches the difficulty they specify, instead of processing the payments made in real-time instantly. This solution is ingenious if you want to use digital currency as a value storage tool. But when you try to use these digital currencies to pay for coffee or purchase a product online, it stands out as a disadvantage since you have to pay commissions to those miners and have to wait too long. As you know, the power of large payment solutions, such as Paypal or Western Union, comes from their servers and software. We also started working on a noncentralized, blockchain-protected end-toend (P2P) cryptocurrency that works as a web service. In such a case, for the system to survive and ensure security, instead of paying for the server cost, we set up a system where servers, that are nodes in the system, can get paid, provided they just stay online for 44 hours instead of mining. People get paid for a useful service they provide instead of wasting their time. There will be a reason for people to install this system on their servers because they are rewarded as long as they remain as servers. When people send an end-to-end payment, the servers, by finding a summary of this payment (They find this summary in order for all systems to meet at a common point and validate payments, and because it is a necessity of the blockchain architecture), ending with 4A, including the time, the sender, the receiver, amount, summary of the previous transaction and the data contained in a digital signature indicating that the sender is actually sending it, without any difficulty and they add it to their databases. Because there are no such concepts as block size or mining involved in any way, the registration process is completed instantly. We use a task queue management library called Celery Project, which is used by companies such as Instagram and Mozilla to prevent complication that may occur if 100 transactions take place within the same second. Security~ If you noticed when you entered the site, I told you that it was safer than Visa. This may seem an ambitious sentence for many, but if you actually know what you're doing when you buy a product online, you are aware of the risks involved. Risk & Problem~ When you type information in the payment form, such as credit card, CVV, and so on, malicious people on the web can read the data you send through these forms. Just because of this, payment solutions require you to add an SSL certificates to your site. These SSL certificates actually save your data using cryptography and protect it until it reaches the recipient. Well, what if the seller has bad intentions? Solution~ 4A Coin encrypts your payments using the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) and sends a signature confirming that you want to pay instead of giving your digital password to the network. This is actually the idea of Satoshi Nakamoto and it is known as P2PKH in Bitcoin. So if we actually compare 4A Coin to a credit card, then no one will ever see your credit card details. In addition, SSL certificate is no longer needed because a malicious user who can tap into your network seeing your payment signature won't change anything, besides it is already publicly shared everywhere. Thus, we have already gotten rid of certificate issues like security and SSL in the first place. Commission Solution~ When you benefit from a local payment solution, you will have to pay a commission to the companies you work with, between 5% and 20% of your sales. The coins you use in 4A Coin are already generated by the nodes, so they do not ask for a commission. Thanks to this, you do not pay commissions for transactions nor for any other reason. Wallets ~ wallet_id ~ 4A01eaedb37fc09fdb94c6d632adf9f63d private_key ~ cbc949239a333559f5dd8b0b5cf3d32923c2cab3 7c2bde9c8042a3dafe59a6b9 Your wallet is actually an ECDSA key pair. At first, we used RSA for this, but we had to switch to ECDAS because the keys were too long in the RSA and were taking too much space. Users have public keys, private keys, and wallet addresses created by processing public keys. Public key is not visible to users on the system. Instead, they will see a short version of a summary generated by public key processing as their wallet. def generate_wallet_from_pkey(public_key): binmnmn = public_key.encode('utf-8') first_step = 34 - len(settings.CURRENCY) wallet_id = hashlib.sha256(binmnmn).hexdigest() wallet_id = wallet_id[-first_step:] wallet_id = "".join((settings.CURRENCY, wallet_id)) return wallet_id This function simply creates a wallet from the simply given public key's SHA-256 summary. Public keys are required for the approval of digital signatures, so it is necessary to keep the public key in transactions. Payments~ When a user makes a payment, the payment time (in epoch format & GMT), the sender's address, the recipient's address, the summary of the previous transaction and the amount sent are transferred to a dictionary. This dictionary can be sorted differently on different computers, and to prevent this, the contents of this dictionary must be organized in a way that is ordered from A to Z, and will give the same result in everyone. data = collections.OrderedDict(sorted(data.items())) With the above code, we can create a stable dictionary that can work globally. Finally, we take a summary of this dictionary and record it in our database, and broadcast it to other servers that we have recorded it. Peer to Peer~ We use the TCP port and web socket technology to ensure that the system is P2P. For the script to work, you need to use Python3. Because, we use the Twister Matrix Library and the Autobahn Python libraries to provide real time transactions. The port we use globally is the 9000th port. There are 3 different types of broadcasting in real time processes: The first one is “Hi, I'm a new node, please add me to your network” and the other one is “Hi, I'm a new process, please verify me”. This is parsed on the server side and necessary actions are taken. The third broadcasting type will be explained in the proof of cloud section. Mining ~ A total of 450 million of 4A Coins will be issued with 300.000.000 Pre-mined. 150 million coins will be mined by a method called Proof of Cloud. Proof of Cloud~ Proof of Cloud or POC refers to a method of earning based on time as a server instead of mining. Each node, by staying online for 44 hours, will send a message as "I have been online for 44 hours, so check my database to see if I have been online by reviewing my recent transactions." If it proves that you have approved transactions for the last 44 hours, you will be eligible to receive the reward. Celery & Redis~ We use Celery, a library that automatically controls tasks so that certain processes can be repeated at certain times in the system. Celery needs Redis to work. Redis is an open source NoSQL (NoSQL is the name given to database systems that store “non-relational” data schematically. NoSQL is literally being used in the sense of "not-only- SQL", which means "only SQL is not used".) software written on Linux as the pure version. Keeping the system up and running~ We use Gunicorn 'Green Unicorn' and Nginx, the Python WSI HTTP Server, to ensure that the system can handle high load and maintain its endurance; Nginx is a Web server designed to focus on high concurrency, high performance and low memory usage. It can also be used as a reverse proxy server, load balancer, and HTTP cache. We were actually using Supervisord to keep all these systems up and running, but since Supervisord did not work with Python3 we started using Circusd developed by the Mozilla Foundation and we were more satisfied with it than Supervisiord. It is much easier to install and use, requires Tornado framework to work on its own, and works correctly with the 4.5.3 version of Tornado. This version is already installed automatically in requirements.txt, but it is important that you know this detail.

If it proves that you have approved transactions for the last 44 hours, you will be eligible to receive the reward.

Title

[REQ] ($2500) - (#Benson, AZ, USA), (02/01/18), (Paypal/Bitcoin/Pre-Arranged) (Interest at 24% APR)

Post contents

Let me start by saying that I know my requested amount is unusually high and the time until I can repay is worryingly long. However, let me follow by saying that if you are willing to take a chance on me, you will be rewarded.
If you have even a mild online presence, you've likely heard of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency designed with the SHA-256 hash algorithm. Priced at ~10 cents a coin in 2010, it is now worth well over $4000 per coin. Almost all crypto currencies can be mined, and, in Bitcoins formative years, it was extremely profitable to mine and many made thousands doing so.
Attempting to mine Bitcoin now would cause you to lose money when you received your power bill each month, but this is not true for all crypto currencies. Some of the most prolific "alt" coins as they are often referred to, are Ethereum and Litecoin. Both of which, with the right hardware, can be mined profitably.
If given the opportunity and proper equipment, I am confident that I can make up to $900 a month mining these alt coins just from your initial investment. If you help me get started, I will not only pay back the original loan amount plus an interest rate of 24% APR (2% per month), but also will send you .5% per month of ALL future profits made mining. I plan to reinvest most of what I make into more mining hardware, so the amount you receive will only continue to grow. At best you will receive a tidy check each month for the rest of your life. At worst I'll pay back the original loan and end up fizzling out after a year or two, still netting you a decent little profit.
Any sensible investor would be worried, I can understand that. However, I would be more than willing to answer any and all questions that you may have and will go through any steps you feel are necessary to secure your investment, whatever those may be.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Questions Answers
1) With scrypt ASICs being announced recently (and in development for some time now), what was the reasoning behind using the scrypt algorithm as opposed to something ASIC-resistant, like scrypt-n used by vertcoin and others? 2) It is my understanding that a block time of 2.5 minutes has been a "sweet spot" of sorts in balancing fast transactions without leaving too many orphaned blocks for miners. What drove your decision for a 60 second time? 1st Scrypt is ASIC resistant. Even "if" Scrypt ASICS are delivered on time without issues they will not be delivering anywhere near the jump SHA-256 Bitcoin ASICS did. At most we are talking a 2-3 fold performance incease with a significant reduction in electricty usage. Memory is the bottleneck here. We are not going to see Scrypt ASICS make massive jumps like Bitcoin ASICS do every couple months. Finally most of these other "ASIC resistant" algorithms were not and still have not been tried like Scrypt has when we started development. We are looking into other techs and we are not opposed to changing in the future as technology advances. Biggest difference is the speed at which adjustments are made. KMG "averages" several of the previous blocks and can take awhile to catch up with a major net hash increase. KMG can also get "stuck" for several hours following a major hash decrease. The secret to DigiShield is an asymetrical approach to difficulty. With DigiShield the difficulty is allowed to decrease much faster than it increase. This keeps a blockchain from getting "Stuck" ie not finding the next block for several hours following a major net hash decrease. We spent about 5 days testing about 50 different setups before we found the optimum ratios DigiByte & Dogecoin are now using.
3) Tell us more about DigiShield, and how this differs from KGW, for example. As to Speed, we wanted to make sure DigiByte was fast for every day purchases of goods & services. 60 seconds ensures a merchant can accept DigiByte as payment as the payment transmits within a couple seconds and is confirmed in 60 seconds. DigiShield allows for much larger movements from block to block. This allows DigiShield to counter multi-pools much quicker than KMG. It is all a balancing act. You need to allow the difficulty to increase enough between blocks to catch up to a sudden spike in net hash, but not enough to accidentally send the difficulty sky high when two lucky blocks are found side by side.
Do you ever intend to implement a PoS? For those who are wondering what POS is it refers to Proof of Stake. It essentially means the more coins you hold in your wallet, the more new coins you will recieve as they are generated.
At first POS sounds like a novel idea, but for a real world currency traded for every day goods & services it would not be effective.
Why would people want to spend their coins when they have a stronger incentive to hold on to them?
A POS coin may use less energy, but we want to give people incentive to spend their coins, not hold on to them.
We also believe this technology will never be adopted by a main stream currency.
So as POS currently stands we have no plans of implementing it to DigiByte.
Thank you for detailed and professional reply! +digitipbot 50 dgb.
Alright, you meet someone completely unaware of any cryptocurrency, where do you direct them to teach them about DigiByte? We're talking absolutely no idea, and probably not very good at technology in general either. We are working on developing several new guides for people completely un aware of crypto currency technology. These will be posted on the main DigiByte website.
Our goal is to become a bridge for new people into crypto technology. We have been conducting some focus groups and research with some marketing professionals to find the best way to do this.
We plan on completing this before the Crypto Convention in NY on April 9th.
We are also working on a promotional video that would explain things in visual detail.
How's the promo video coming along? We have lost contact with the original person who was working on it. We are now looking to other people/places to finish what he started. We would like to get this done ASAP.
We have a professional vocie over completed to augment the video.
If you know anyone who would be good at this please let us know. We are looking for a professional video expert who can make something better than the bitcoin video :Link to www.youtube.com
Wish I knew someone or could help contribute any skills in that field. Maybe post something in /Digibyte seeing if anyone has the skills? Great idea!
What differentiates DigiByte from all the other e-currencies out there? 1st of you store data in megabytes & gigabytes. Why not store & send money in DigiBytes?
2nd DigiByte has 21 billion coins so it has a nice ratio to Bitcoin of 1:1000.
3rd We have much faster transaction times with 60 second blocks.
4th We were the 1st to develop & implement the DigiShield difficulty adjustment code. Dogecoin has now succesfully implemented it as well.
Thanks for your reply. As there are so many coins, I am looking for ones that have something unique, something different that could be the 'killer feature' that moves a coin into the mainstream. Most importantly with the name "DigiByte" we have one of the most brand-able names out there.
I don't know what your difficulty adjustment code does but if other coins also have it, there does not seem to be anything that would make people choose your coin over all the others. People understand what a megabyte or gigabyte is. According to our focus group research the idea of using a "Digibyte" as a digital unit of payment is an easy extension or idea for the average person to understand and identify with.
What extras add DigiByte in the cryptocurrency world? What is your goal? The most exciting new trading site to adopt DigiByte has been Prelude.io by Moolah. They are just about to add USD/DGB trading.
Check them out here: Link to prelude.io
DigiByte is to become a billion dollar world-wide payment system that will change the way people of all races, nationalities and backgrounds purchase or sell every day goods and services. Within the next twelve to twenty-four months you will be able to walk into a store and with the press of a button on a smart phone purchase your coffee, groceries or rent a movie.
The mission and vision seems similar to most of the other cryptos. What is your opinion , should coins be more cooperative in this goal? Absolutely, this is why we helped Dogecoin implement DigiShield. There is room for more than 1 crypto just like we have Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal & Western Union.
That is the technical part of helping. Do you think your mission and vision can be accomplished by DigiByte alone? We believe we are all a community, and it is good to have several currencies and new ideas floating around.
We feel it would be narrow minded to say DigiByte will accomplish this all on our own. We are not trying to replace Bitcoin by any means or be the "single" crypto out there. It is likely that different currencies will take root in different parts of the world. So absolutely there will be others to achieve this vision.
As this technology emerges we hope to adapt and improve DigiByte to make it the best we can.
I have been talking to someone on your facebook account about working with sponsored non-profit events/drives but your customer support is lacking. I keep asking questions and proving info but there isnt an effort back to help. How are you going to address customer support moving on, and helping non-profits like other community based coins that are preferred? We apologize for the delay in this. We have been completely swamped and will will look more into it. We receive dozens & sometimes hundreds of messages between Twitter, Facebook, Bitcointalk, DigiByteTalk & Reddit each day. Its a lot to keep on top of while still doing development /promotional work.
Also keep in mind we have been approached by several scammers recently and we like to take time to verify things.
Will you change your mascot? Change as in to something else, or get rid of? What specifically are you referring to?
In your personally opinion what are the odds that a internet currency become so usual to the people as the money in cells? Not sure what you mean by cells?
It is very likely it will become very familiar to common consumers just like money.
1st off crypto technology will save merchants billions each year once they adopt it. With a crypto technology merchants do not have to pay the 3-5% credit/debit card fees. This can equate to billions for some corporations, this alone may be a strong motivation for increased adoption.
2nd, transaction speeds will help encourage adoption. It currently takes several days for Debit or Credit card transactions to clear before a payment receiver can spend the money that has been received. With Bitcoin you can spend money you receive within an hour, with DigiByte it takes 6 minutes.
Finally it is easy to move money around the world. You can move millions around the world in a matter of minutes with no fees or third party involved.
Why should I use DGB over LTC? DigiByte stands a much better chance at being adopted by main stream consumers & merchants. DigiByte is very brandable.
People store data in megabytes & gigabytes. Storing & sending money as DigiByte is very easy for the common person to understand.
Next, DigiByte is much faster than Litecoin. This will make it easier for merchants and consumers to make every day transactions.
Finally, 84 million coins is not enough for a wide spread currency used across the globe. With 21 billion coins DigiByte will eventually have a price of around $1-$10. Perfect for buying low ticket goods & services.
Shibe here. I noticed you guys have a way to buy Digibyte for GBP. I'd like to buy in too, and am in the US. Is the big exchange-train (coinbase->BTC->exchange->digibytes) the only way right now? Are you referring to Moolah.io? They should be implementing the USD/DGB trading any moment now.
We were told yesterday that US customers would be the first ones to deposit fiat there. We have not checked in the last few hours if this is the case yet.
With the recent bitcoin travesty, how do you feel about your cryptocurrency's future? We feel it has opened the door for people to begin taking other alt coins seriously. With the upcoming Crypto Currency convention in New York we feel we will be making a big splash and some good headway among some bigger investors.
The key is getting DigiByte tied directly to the USD which we are working very hard on doing. Then all we need is one big merchant and we are off to the big time!
How do I get in on the premined coins? Not sure what you are getting at. The remaining part of the pre-mine is being used for development expenses.
The most recent of which includes paying for a booth at the NY crypto convention on April 9th as well as all the relate expenses including, travel, brochures, stickers, handouts etc.
I wasn't sure what I was getting at either. I skimmed the faqs and read some blurb about premined coins being given away and my lazy ass decided to ask. I guess I'll be seeing you in NY then! Sounds good, make sure to stop by our booth as we will be giving DGB away there! Also you can use the promo code "digibyte" and get half of your ticket to the cryoto convention. $99 instead of $200.
Will there be an android app for storing and/or mining? There already is an android wallet for DigiByte. You can download it here: Link to play.google.com
There are also several other apps you can mine DigiByte with on a smart phone.
Who is your favorite pokemon? Lol! +digitipbot 100 dgb Not sure how to answer that as I could not tell you the names of any pokemon. Perhaps xploited or politicalwave could help answer this one. :)
I know nothing about this, do you believe that these e-currencies will ever replace/overshadow national currencies, or just supplement them? We do not see them ever "replacing" national currencies as some very bad things would happen before that becomes a reality. We do however see them augmenting traditional currencies. There are several practical uses. Such as increased transaction speeds, ie being able to spend money minutes after you received it. A reduction in merchant fees that would save everyone money in the end. And most importantly the ease of use. What other way could you put millions onto a flash drive? Or send money anywhere on the planet in a few seconds without paying any fees?
Oh. Where is your favorite vacation destination? I have always dreamed of going to the Caribbean and swimming in the crystal clear blue water. So that would be my favorite "dream" vacation and the place where I have never been.
That would be really nice. What do you think happened to that jet that disappeared? Not sure. As a pilot this is really bizare to me. Have not learned the latest, but the last I heard they were looking in Pakistan.
That is a long ways from their intended flight path. Perhaps the plane moved interdimensionaly in a worm hole that opened up?
Perhaps. A random customer at my place of work is pretty convinced aliens have something to do with it. Who is your favorite Muppet? Aliens cannot be ruled out. Definitely Kermit the frog. He is just one cool dude ,who doesn't like him?
Beats me, I don't know how you couldn't! Do you like sushi? Not a fan at all. Meat & potatoes all the way!
What are you doing to try to make the digibyte a standard? Any upcoming online stores? Moolah.io just launch US bank deposits to buy DigiByte! This is a huge step forward! Link to prelude.io
Also we expect some great connections/networking/deals to come out of the New York Crypto convention on April 9th to help make things happen.
Ask you anything? Okay...Will you send me 1 million of your coin to use and distribute here at my own pleasure? Are you good with making promotional videos? If so we may be able to hook you up with 1 million DGB. :)
I don't have any questions, just wanted to say keep up the good work. +digitipbot 50 dgb
Not a question, but just a quick comment to say I love the name, love the look and love the community here, I think you guys are doing a great job and look forward to seeing you grow and flourish. Thank you for the support! We are doing out best and we are in this for the long haul! DigiByte is the only coin we are working on and we are very committed to taking it to the top!
Good to see an AMA from devs :) Thanks for your support! Feel free to ask us anything!
No question, just a comment: please spend some time cultivating a subreddit opt out list. Many mod teams don't allow crypto currency in their subreddit(s) and view it as spammy. No sure what you mean by an "opt out" list or how that pertains to this AMA.
